GRASSES
Elevated from competing with the normal perennial flower border, grasses are now used in sweeps of the same, or allied sorts; as underplanting, or perhaps groups or even individuals in gravel areas.
Many flower, the effect, like spun gold. Altogether they provide a wonderful elegance.

(AGM) denotes plants that have received an Award of Garden Merit.
Those marked ** are especially fine if you can't decide.
